Photos: Twin Cities Heart Walk

The American Heart Association hosted its annual Twin Cities Heart Walk on Saturday, May 5. The event began and ended at Target Field, with 1- and 3-mile routes weaving up Nicollet and through downtown Minneapolis.

The event raised more than $1.7 million that will be put toward battling heart disease and stroke. The event brings approximately 20,000 people to downtown each year–all of whom help raise awareness for the cause. The day included music, mascot races, a special performance by local musician Kat Perkins, treats, and a fun walk through the heart of the city.

Take a look at a few photos from the event in this 2018 Twin Cities Heart Walk gallery.
